URBN Summer 2027 Internships: The Complete Guide to Every Brand
The URBN Summer 2027 Internship Program has opened applications with opportunities for students interested in buying, planning, merchandising, marketing, social media, photography, styling, design and creative production, alongside less obvious paths into fashion including technology, data science, supply chain, product development and sourcing.
We’ve broken down the major brand programs separately so you can compare the opportunities without sorting through dozens of individual job descriptions. This guide brings everything together and covers the additional URBN opportunities that don’t sit neatly within one of those brand guides.

Which Companies Are Part of URBN?
If you’ve been applying to these internships individually, you may not have realized how connected they are.
URBN’s career site currently includes Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, FP Movement, Terrain and Nuuly, along with other parts of the company.
That matters because some Summer 2027 internships are attached directly to a brand, while others sit within shared URBN teams that support work across the portfolio.
Here’s where to start.
Free People Summer 2027 Internships
Free People has one of the largest internship groups in the URBN Summer 2027 program, and it covers nearly the entire path from product development to how that product is marketed and presented to the customer. There are traditional merchandising paths alongside highly creative opportunities in styling, studio and textile design, making this a particularly strong group for students who want to work close to the product or the brand’s visual identity.
Opportunities include:
- Buying
- Merchandising
- Planning & Allocation
- Brand Marketing
- Social Media
- Brand Partnerships
- Photo Studio
- Styling
- Apparel Design
- Print, Craft & Textile Design
FP Movement Summer 2027 Internships
FP Movement has a much smaller internship group, but the three opportunities represent three very different sides of the product business: deciding what to buy, determining how much product is needed and helping design the product itself. It’s an especially relevant group for students interested in activewear, performance apparel or the business behind a growing fashion category.
Opportunities include:
- Buying
- Planning & Allocation
- Apparel Design

Anthropologie Summer 2027 Internships
Anthropologie has the broadest mix of career paths in the group, extending well beyond the roles students typically associate with a fashion retailer. Alongside buying, marketing and apparel design, there are opportunities in weddings, home, visual display, digital merchandising, studio production and instructional design. It’s a good program to explore if you know you want to work within the Anthropologie world but are still comparing different functions.
Opportunities include:
- Apparel Buying
- Accessories, Beauty & Shoes Buying
- Home Buying
- Weddings Buying
- Digital Merchandising
- Digital Marketing
- Brand Marketing
- Creative Digital Design & Production
- Instructional Design
- Visual Display
- Studio Production
- On-Model Studio
- Apparel Design
- Home Design
Urban Outfitters Summer 2027 Internships
Urban Outfitters also offers a wide range of paths, with particularly strong representation across buying, planning, marketing and creative. The assortment of internships reflects how many teams sit behind both the product and the customer-facing brand experience, from deciding what goes into the assortment to creating the imagery and campaigns around it. Several creative roles also have additional portfolio, concept board or project requirements.
Opportunities include:
- Women’s Buying
- Men’s Buying
- Home, Decor & Gifting Buying
- Beauty & Accessories Buying
- Planning & Allocation
- Merchandise Planning
- Digital Marketing
- Brand Marketing
- Creative Studio
- Photo Studio
- Graphic Design
- Apparel Design
- Home Design

Nuuly Summer 2027 Internships
Nuuly gives this internship class a different angle because the business is built around fashion rental rather than a traditional retail model.
Its opportunities touch product, customer acquisition, content, e-commerce and fulfillment, so students can see how many familiar fashion functions operate differently inside a digitally driven rental business.
Opportunities include:
- Buying
- Brand Marketing
- Social Media
- Graphic Design
- Web Production
- Supply Chain
Terrain Summer 2027 Internships
Terrain represents the home, garden and lifestyle side of the URBN portfolio, so its opportunities sit in a noticeably different product world from the company’s fashion brands. The Summer 2027 group is considerably smaller, and some opportunities are specifically connected to Delaware Valley University, making eligibility especially important to check here.
Current opportunities include buying and design-services paths.
How to Choose Your URBN Summer 2027 Internship
With opportunities across Free People, FP Movement, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Nuuly and Terrain, it can be tempting to apply based on the brand you like most. Start with the work instead.
URBN recommends applying to one internship that best matches your interests and skills, so compare the roles across brands before making your choice.
If you’re interested in buying, for example, you’ll find opportunities across several URBN brands. The fundamentals may be similar, but the customer, product assortment and business model can be very different.
The same applies to marketing and creative roles. Brand marketing, social media, digital marketing, styling, studio production and design all contribute to how a brand reaches its customer, but the day-to-day work and skills required are different.
Use the individual ITFI brand guides above to compare the roles, requirements and any additional application materials before deciding where your experience makes the strongest match.
Before You Apply
URBN’s Summer 2027 internship applications close October 30, 2026 at 5pm ET, but don’t treat that as your target application date.
Some opportunities require more than a resume. Depending on the role, you may need a portfolio, concept board, design project or other creative materials, so read the full application requirements before you start.
Before submitting:
- Confirm that the internship is still accepting applications.
- Check any class-year, field-of-study or other eligibility requirements.
- Review whether a portfolio, concept board or additional project is required.
- Tailor your resume and application materials to the specific role and brand.
- Make sure your application shows why your experience and skills make sense for the internship you’ve chosen.
If an opportunity is no longer appearing on the URBN careers site, it may no longer be accepting applications.
Maria’s Career Tip
A company this large gives you something valuable: the chance to compare similar careers across very different brands.
Don’t assume the brand you shop from most is automatically where you should apply. Look at the actual responsibilities, the customer and the skills each team is asking for.
You may discover that the buying opportunity at one brand fits your experience better than the same function at another. Or that what you thought was an interest in marketing is actually a stronger match for social media, digital merchandising or creative production.
With URBN recommending that candidates focus on one internship, the goal isn’t to find the brand you like best. It’s to find the role where your application makes the most sense.
That is the application you’ll have the strongest case for.
