If you’re passionate about fashion, styling and empowering women through timeless design, The Loft, part of the Knitwell Group, offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the industry. PROGRAM DETAILS
- Who Can Apply: 2025 and 2026 college students
- Program Duration: 10 weeks
- Program Dates: June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025
- Location: New York City
- Compensation: $20.00/hour
- Benefits: Professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits and participation in a collaborative team project.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Housing near any of the corporate office locations is not offered.
- Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location.
- Applicants to this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
AVAILABLE ROLES
Sourcing Intern
The Sourcing Intern will assist the sourcing team with the purchase order process, sample tracking and ad hoc projects and support the team with the creation and maintenance of sample tracking charts, lab dip charts and style numbers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience working in Excel (Google Charts a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must
QUALIFICATIONS
- Junior or senior (Class of 2025 and 2026)
- Resume and portfolio (portfolios only needed for Design Applications)

Design Intern
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the design team with the execution of seasonal collections, fabrications and colors that maintain the brand identity
- Gain exposure to the development, concept, and design of the product line
- Prepare line review presentation materials, concept boarding, fabric and color boards and flat sketches.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A passion for hand illustration
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
- Exposure to tech packs and hand/computer flats
- An eye for trend, color, print and pattern
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point
Technical Design Intern
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the technical design team with the entire product process, from development through the production stage
- Sit in on fit sessions
- Take fit notes
- Create and update production spec packages
- Measure samples
- Work with the technical team on strategies to solve fit issues
QUALIFICATIONS
- Critical eye for detail and proportion
- Strong measurement and technical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must
