London Fashion Week 2026: Public Events, Pop-Ups, Talks & More
London Fashion Week has officially returned September 17–21, 2026, and while most of the runway calendar still requires an invitation, that doesn’t mean you need industry credentials to participate.
This season, the British Fashion Council’s new Fashion Britain initiative has expanded the public side of fashion week considerably, with exhibitions, designer pop-ups, talks, workshops, shopping events, installations and other programming happening across London.
I went through the official London Fashion Week programming and individual event information to find events you can actually attend. I’ve organized everything by date so you can plan around what is happening each day.
A quick note before you go: registration requirements and availability can change quickly during fashion week. Always check the event link before heading out, especially for anything requiring an RSVP or ticket.

Fashion meets publishing at Rejina Pyo’s Soho flagship. The designer is partnering with Faber to celebrate Rachel Cusk’s new novel Life of M, with signed copies, selections from Cusk’s back catalogue and an audio recording of the author reading from the book.
This is a nice addition to the guide because it shows how much broader fashion week has become than runway shows.
Exiled: Root Cause Exhibition
Time: 8 AM–4 PM
Location: Fabrica X, The Mills Fabrica
Cost: Free general admission
Access: No booking required
Root Cause looks directly at fashion’s waste problem through garments, accessories and homeware created from discarded materials including consumer returns, surplus stock and factory offcuts.
For students interested in sustainability, circular design, production or materials, this is one of the more educational public events I found. The exhibition continues through September 20, with additional bookable interactive programming alongside it.

The Marylebone magazine and book shop is using its three ground-floor rooms to explore the relationship between fashion and print.

Want to get better at following the industry?
Your feed can actually be a career resource if you’re following the right people.
I put together a free list of 100+ fashion professionals to follow, across different roles and areas of the industry, so you can start learning from the people actually doing the work.

Part of Ahluwalia’s larger Sound of Style programme, this conversation examines archive, legacy and reissue across music, fashion and culture, with voices spanning journalism, publishing, marketing and cultural archiving.
This is one I would flag for students because there is an actual learning component rather than simply an activation to photograph.

Anciela’s Fashion Britain programme brings fashion together with filmmaking and visual culture. The speakers include creatives working across fashion design, production design, creative direction, film and sustainability.

A Few Events You Can Visit Throughout London Fashion Week
There are also several Fashion Britain experiences running across multiple days that don’t necessarily require planning around a particular event time.
Whistles 50th Birthday: London stores are offering 20% off, scratch-to-win cards with purchases and complimentary lemonade September 17–21.
Whistles Fashion Britain details
Smythson: Visit the Sloane Street boutique September 17–21 to see AW26, with complimentary gold stamping of up to two letters offered with purchases.
Smythson Fashion Britain details
Bella Freud: The Chiltern Street flagship is participating throughout the weekend with 15% off purchases and complimentary Prosecco.
Bella Freud event details
These are more retail-focused than the main events above, so I would treat them as bonus stops rather than plan an entire day around them.
