Dazed Internship 2026: 2 Fall Internships Open in New York

If your interests sit somewhere between fashion, media, youth culture and digital storytelling, Dazed currently has two Fall 2026 internships open with its US team in New York.

Both internships run for 12 weeks, from September 29 through December 17, and pay $3,500 for the program. Both also include required in-person work in New York.

Dazed US Editorial / Social Internship

This is the broader of the two roles.

The Dazed Editorial/Social Intern will work across the editorial and social teams, supporting storytelling for its digital platforms. That includes researching larger editorial projects, pitching coverage ideas, writing editorial and commercial articles, helping shoot social-first video, writing social captions and designing graphics.

There’s an interesting mix here because you wouldn’t be limited to traditional editorial work. You’d get exposure to written content, social media and some visual content creation, which makes this especially relevant for someone interested in modern digital media roles where those responsibilities increasingly overlap.

Dazed specifically highlights an interest in youth culture, fashion, music and digital storytelling, along with a strong eye for visual storytelling and social-first journalism. Adobe Premiere Pro experience is considered a plus, although video editing experience is not required.

One of the strongest benefits? Dazed says interns can leave with a portfolio of published editorial, social and branded content

Is This Internship Right for You?

You’d likely enjoy this role if you…

✓ Want to build a career in editorial, social media, digital content or fashion media
✓ Like writing but don’t want your experience limited entirely to writing
✓ Follow fashion, music and youth culture beyond what’s happening on your For You page
✓ Enjoy developing ideas and figuring out how they should translate across platforms
✓ Want published work you can add to a portfolio
✓ Are still exploring where you fit within the broader content and media space

Dazed US Video Editor Internship

The Video Editor Internship is considerably more specialized.

This intern joins Dazed Studio US and supports both Dazed’s social editorial video projects and commercial productions. The work includes editing social-first content, assisting with branded campaigns and client deliverables, creating sizzle reels and case-study edits, and collaborating with producers, designers and other creatives.

Unlike the Editorial / Social role, Adobe Premiere Pro skills are required here. Experience with After Effects or motion design is considered a plus, and Dazed is looking for someone with a strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing and sound design.

The commercial component is also worth paying attention to. This isn’t solely about editing content for Dazed’s own social channels. Interns will get exposure to live client campaigns and branded content, giving them experience with the agency side of creative production as well

Is This Internship Right For You?

You’d likely enjoy this role if you…

✓ Already have video editing skills and want to use them professionally
✓ Want to work in fashion, media or culture through a creative production lens
✓ Pay attention to pacing, sound, transitions and the details behind a strong edit
✓ Are interested in both editorial content and branded campaigns
✓ Want portfolio work that demonstrates a specific technical skill
✓ Could see yourself pursuing video editing, content production or other creative roles

Which Dazed Internship Should You Apply To?

This is actually a pretty clean distinction.

If you’re drawn to writing, researching, pitching ideas and social storytelling, I’d look more closely at Editorial / Social.

If you’re already developing a clear technical skill set around video editing and visual storytelling, Video Editor is the stronger match.

And if you’re genuinely qualified and interested in both? There’s nothing in either listing stating that candidates cannot apply to both. I would still make sure each application clearly reflects why you’re interested in that particular function rather than sending essentially the same application twice.

What You’ll Actually Gain

One thing I like about both internships is that Dazed explicitly talks about interns leaving with published portfolio work.

Early in your career, being able to show what you’ve created can be just as useful as being able to say where you interned. The Editorial / Social role can potentially give you work across editorial, social and branded content, while the Video Editor role gives you a chance to build more specialized video work across social and commercial projects.

Both also expose interns to the relationship between editorial content and commercial creative work, which is an important part of understanding how modern fashion and culture publications operate.

Maria’s Career Tip

For creative internships, don’t apply based on the company name alone. Look at what you’ll actually be able to show after the experience is over.

If you’re trying to build a career in editorial, social, video or content, your portfolio becomes part of your professional story. An internship that gives you legitimate published work can help make the next application much easier because you’re no longer asking an employer to imagine what you can do. You can show them.

How to Apply

Both applications are open directly through Dazed Media’s careers site and are due Monday, September 21, 2026. Because both internships require scheduled in-person work in New York, make sure the schedule is realistically manageable before applying.
