Choosing the Right Anthropologie Summer 2027  Internship

With 14 options, the titles can start to blur together. The easiest way to narrow the list is to think about the type of work you actually want to spend your summer doing.

If you’re drawn to product selection, trends and assortment building, start with the four Buying internships. The category matters, so consider whether apparel, accessories and beauty, home or weddings best reflects the product knowledge you can demonstrate.

For e-commerce and digital business, look closely at Digital Merchandising and Digital Marketing. Merchandising sits closer to product and the online shopping experience, while marketing focuses more on campaigns, content, engagement and performance.

If your strengths are storytelling, branding or communications, Brand Marketing offers exposure to social, PR, events and broader brand strategy.

For students who want to make and produce visual work, Creative Digital Design & Production, Visual Display, Studio and On-Model Studio each approach creativity differently. One is digital, one focuses on physical retail environments, and the studio roles sit closer to photography, styling and production.

Finally, Apparel Design and Home Design are the most specialized product-design paths and require applicants to already be developing the relevant creative and technical skills.

Remember that URBN recommends applying to ONE internship that best matches your interests and skills. With this many Anthropologie options, that makes choosing based on fit especially important.

Maria’s Career Tip

Don’t let the Anthropologie name make all 14 internships feel interchangeable.

Look at what each team is asking you to demonstrate. The Buying internships want evidence that you understand product, trends and the Anthropologie customer. Digital roles need a mix of commercial thinking and online fluency. Creative and studio opportunities are looking for a visual point of view, while the design internships require more developed technical skills.

Your application should make that connection obvious.

And pay particular attention to the roles requiring a concept board, portfolio or design project. Those materials aren’t an extra flourish. They’re part of how the team evaluates whether your point of view fits the work.
