Get incredible hands-on experience as a Market Week intern for Akris!
Akris is looking for a full-time intern who is eager to learn and interested in a hands-on fashion environment. The intern will assist during one of the most important events of the year – market. The intern will have various responsibilities working with the Marketing, Sales and Visual departments of the fashion house.
MARKET WEEK INTERNSHIP DATES
This is a 2 week internship with options to do additional days.
MUST BE AVAILABLE IN-PERSON for the following Market Week dates:
(optional) Saturday, October 21st Approximately 2:30pm-5:30pm
Monday, October 23rd – Friday, October 27th Approximately 8:45AM-5:00PM
AND
(optional) Saturday, November 4th Approximately 2:30pm-5:30pm
Sunday, November 5th Approximately 8:00AM-5:00PM
Monday, November 6th – Friday, November 10th 8:45PM-5:00PM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Model dressing and styling
- Assisting in market week appointments
- Creating PowerPoint presentations of Run of Show
- Photography – basic photo editing and retouching
- Visual Merchandising
QUALIFICATIONS
- Organized with attention to detail
- Able to multi-task
- Responsible, reliable and punctual
- Interested in the fashion industry
- Good communication skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Eager to learn
- Previous fashion experience preferred but not required
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The internship is unpaid, however a metro-card is provided for transportation, and breakfast / lunch is provided daily. Letters of recommendation can be provided once the market week internship is completed.
